Protection from financial fraud
Useful information
Stop tool: restrict risky online services
Introduced by banks on July 1, 2026, the Stop tool lets you temporarily restrict remote access to selected online services. Once a restriction is activated, no one, including you, can use those services online until the restriction is lifted through the bank’s prescribed procedure.
You can use the Stop tool to restrict online access to the following services
Taking out a loan
Terminating a deposit
Transfers and payments
Cardless cash withdrawals
Opening a new card
Opening a new account
How to activate: through your bank’s online platform, by phone, or at a branch, depending on the options your bank offers.
What remains available: you can still view your account, deposit, and loan balances, and use the restricted services at a bank branch.
Important: Stop is a security tool, not a way to obtain compensation. Activate it only for services whose online access you actually want to restrict.
You can find the full list of services and available features in your bank’s mobile app or other online platforms.
What to do and who to contact
If you encounter fraud or suspicious activity
Most importantly, stop communicating and do not share any more information or money. If you have already shared card details or an SMS/OTP code, or made a transfer, act immediately.
- 1
Stop communicating
Do not reply, open any new links, or provide additional information.
- 2
Contact your bank
If you have transferred money or shared bank details, call your bank immediately using its official number and, if needed, block your card or account.

- 3
Contact the police
If you suspect fraud or a crime, contact the police or the relevant law enforcement agency.
- 4
Preserve the evidence
Do not delete messages, links, phone numbers, transfer details, or screenshots.
Remember: a bank, government agency, or law enforcement officer will never ask for your PIN, CVV/CVC, or SMS/OTP code, or ask you to transfer money to a “safe account” to resolve a problem.
